Hope you&#8217;ve been enjoying summer fun in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/\">Glens Falls<\/a> area. We certainly have. Food, friends and lots of fun for all so far!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15167 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2013\/08\/family-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2013\/08\/family-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2013\/08\/family-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2013\/08\/family-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You may have noticed that I have mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/event\/lemonade-stand-63250\/\">Goodies For Gold<\/a> a few times this summer.<\/p>\n<p>This past Saturday I had a chance to attend and spend some time with my friends the Dawes family and experience for myself what a cool thing it is that this family is doing to <b>raise money and awareness for childhood cancer<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>All the proceeds from their <b>lemonade stand<\/b> are being donated to <b>Relay For Life<\/b>. Do you have a spare $1 and a minute to stop by and help them reach their goal of $500 by end of summer? You&#8217;ll meet some great people and leave feeling GREAT!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2013\/08\/lake-george.jpg\" alt=\"lake-george.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is Charlotte. She looks so happy because she is! To celebrate her 4 year anniversary of being cancer FREE, this beautiful young lady and her family decided to do a lemonade stand at her grandparent&#8217;s home on the <b>corner of Davis St. and Grant Ave.<\/b> in <b>Glens Falls, NY<\/b> to raise funds and give back to those who helped them win their battle.<\/p>\n<p><b>Goodies For Gold<\/b> is about a family expressing their love and gratitude to those who were there for them when they needed it most. It&#8217;s a celebration of victory for Charlotte and hope for those who continue to FIGHT the good fight!<\/p>\n<p>Have some lemonade, delicious homemade sweets and a nice chat with some terrific people.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Charlotte is so close to reaching her goal of earning $500 to donate to <b>Relay For LIfe<\/b>! How cool would it be to be the person to hand her that $1 that puts her over the top? It&#8217;s not tough to do. Stop by between 2:00 and 4:00 on Saturday and grab a snack. I did and it was a wonderful time!<\/p>\n<p>The <b>Glens Falls<\/b> community has been amazing! I loved watching people of all ages stop in their tracks to offer support.<\/p>\n<p>There are only 2 Saturdays left in August. Stop by and help the Dawes family reach their goal! Charlotte, Lucy, JoAnn and Toby have dedicated their summer Saturdays and more to make this happen.
