Close to 70 restaurants participated in Chowderfest<br \/>\nin downtown Saratoga Springs. At the end of the event, tasters had the chance<br \/>\nto vote for their favorite. And the results are in. The 2012 Chowderfest<br \/>\nWinner Is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><b>The Seven Horse Pub and Restaurant!<\/b><br \/>\nServing up a<br \/>\ndelicious lobster-based chowder with pulled pork and a piece of sweet cornbread to top<br \/>\nit off, they came out as the People&#8217;s Choice Winner. Absolutely dee-lish. Congratulations!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7863 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/gourmet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2012\/02\/chowderfest-300x282.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"282\" \/><br \/>\nOther winners included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best non-downtown chowder &#8212;<b> Longfello<\/b><b>w&#8217;s<\/b> with a Maine lobster and roasted corn chowder<\/li>\n<li>Best off-Broadway &#8212; <b>The Seven Horse Pub and Restaurant <\/b>on Phila Street<\/li>\n<li>Best newcomer &#8212; <b>The Saratoga Springs Fire Department<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Best chowder-themed desert &#8212; <b>Bettie&#8217;s Cakes<\/b> on Broadway with a &#8220;Clam On the Beach&#8221; mini cupcake<\/li>\n<li>Most chowder served &#8212; <b>The Parting Glass <\/b>with a shrimp and candied lobster chowder (One of my personal favorites.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to everyone that participated.
