One of the most famous paintings at The Hyde Collection will be moving soon to Cologne, Germany for the rest of 2012. A Pablo Picasso painting called Boy Holding a Blue Vase (1905) will be heading to the Wallraf-Richartz Museum for an upcoming exhibition.
The Picasso painting will be shown at the 1912 – Mission Moderne exhibit from August 31 through December 30, 2012. The exhibit will commemorate the centennial for the 1912 International Art Exhibition that was held in Germany.
The famous oil painting will be on display with over 120 works in the exhibition. It will be one of the most amazing presentations of European modern art prior to the First World War.
