Earlier today, a part of the back wall at the Civic Center collapsed causing the high school Section 2 basketball tournament to be relocated.
The Glens Falls Civic Center is temporarily closed due to the impact of snow and ice accumulations on the roof of the building. In addition, a part of Oakland Avenue right next to the Civic Center is also closed.
All Section 2 high school basketball tournament games scheduled for the Civic Center will be relocated to alternate venues as follows:
Class A and B finals: Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday
Class D semifinal between Fort Ann and North Warren: 5 pm TODAY at Saratoga High School
Class C semifinals:
Greenwich vs. Waterford at 6:30 pm TODAY at Watervliet High School
Hoosic Valley vs. Lake George at 8 pm TODAY at Watervliet High School
