1. Special Olympics State Fall Games
Friday, October 16 – Sunday, October 18
Nearly 1,000 athletes and coaches from across the state will participate in the 2015 State Fall Games this weekend. Competitions will take place in Bocce, Cross Country Running, Cycling, Equestrian, Golf Team & Skills, Soccer Team, and Softball Team.

Broadway Upstate is presenting a musical based on Disney Channel’s smash hit movie at the Charles R. Wood Theater this weekend! The characters must deal with issues of first love, friends, and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.
Saturday, October 17
Join the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Registration will begin at 9:00am at the Civic Center, and the 2-mile route will kick off at 10:15am.
4. Kids’ Exchange 2015 Fall/Winter Consignment Sale
Saturday, October 17
Head to Chase Sports Complex in South Glens Falls on Saturday and browse more than 20,000 new and gently-used items! Potential finds include kids clothing, toys, games, books, winter gear, play kitchens, room decor, baby gear, and much more.
5. Artists’ Workshop: Figure Drawing and Painting

This workshop at The Hyde Collection is inspired by the figurative images of contemporary artist Audrey Flack, whose work is featured in the Hoopes Gallery this fall. Michael Coughlin will give you inside on how to create a figure painting with proper proportions and three-dimensional form.
