The Adirondack Ballet Theater (ABT) is holding a 25th Anniversary Celebration the Friday before the performances, December 9th, at the Charles R. Wood Theater.
ABT welcomes adults and children join them in this celebration as a thank you for many years of support. Partake in delicious bites and beverages as everyone enjoys excerpt performances from The Nutcracker. Admission is free, and there will be a cash bar, silent auction, and donations accepted for fundraising efforts.
You’ll also have three chances to see The Nutcracker: Saturday the 10th at 2:30pm or 7pm, or Sunday the 11th at 2:30pm. The price is $16 per person. However, all three of ABT’s Nutcracker performances have sold out the last few years, so hurry and get your tickets!
The American Girl Doll from the Victorian era, Samantha, will be raffled off at the Nutcracker performances! Children are invited to attend dressed up with their favorite doll to take pictures at the special photo spot and watch the show.
“I am humbled that ABT is celebrating its 25th anniversary,” Diane LaBruzzo, Adirondack Ballet Theater Artistic Director, said in a statement. “We have come so far since starting with the performance of just Act II Nutcracker variations in 1992, to today performing the full Nutcracker Ballet with a cast of over 50 performers.”
ABT is a nonprofit organization that creates performance opportunities for children in a broad range of dance styles. The upcoming Nutcracker includes local children ages 4 to 18, ABT alumni, and guest professional dancers.
