A $3 million renovation of an historic building in Downtown Glens Falls is finally nearing completion! Elizabeth Miller purchased the 106-year-old Park Theater three years ago, and has invested time and money to restore the building to its former glory.
The end goal is for the Park Theater to be a multi-dimensional venue that can host a variety of events, including artistic performances and weddings. Not only will the 250-seat theater be completely restored by the time the Park Theater has its grand re-opening (planned for mid-October), but Miller has also added a 60-seat restaurant to the venue. The restaurant will be named “Doc’s” after the previous owner of the building, Dr. Harold Kirkpatrick.
“There is just something about downtown Glens Falls,” Miller told Albany Business Review. “I want the theater and restaurant to help make this a better place.”
As progress continues, Miller and her team are searching for a chef and theater manager for the multi-dimensional venue.
Cifone Construction Company and AJA Architecture and Planning are executing the renovations.
