The Adirondack Thunder has found its new leader! In a statement released last week, the team introduced Alex Loh as the Thunder’s newest Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. Loh is the third Head Coach in team history.
About Alex Loh
Alex Loh has spent the past three seasons serving under former Thunder coaches MacLean and Tapper as an Assistant Coach and later as an Associate Coach. Before his time with the Thunder, Loh worked on the coaching staff of the AHL’s Portland Pirates. Loh also has experience as the Head Coach of the varsity team at Peoples Academy in Vermont and as a collegiate-level assistant coach at Colby College.
Support from the Adirondack Thunder Staff
Loh’s promotion is met with both enthusiasm and approval from Adirondack Thunder staff members, excited to see Loh thrive in his new role. In the press release, Thunder Governor, Ed Moore, stated, “With his years of experience at the AHL and ECHL levels, Alex was absolutely the best candidate for the job and we are excited to see what he can do as the leader of our team.”
Loh is looking forward to the upcoming season and is grateful for this prestigious opportunity.
