Balloons, Breakfast & More
through Sunday, September 23
Well over 100,000 people come out for the Adirondack Balloon Festival each year. This is a magical event where you can see hundreds of hot air balloons take to the sky – pictures are great, but this is one you really must experience in person.
Check out the full schedule of events, and then leave yourself plenty of time because traffic can get backed up during this popular event.
Saturday, September 22 to Sunday, September 23
The Open Door Mission is hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury on Saturday and Sunday – this is one of the main spots where the balloons take off. As many get to the festival right at 5am, some hot coffee and food might be welcome!
The breakfast is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for kids 4 to 10, and free for those under 4. All proceeds will benefit the Open Door Mission.
