The Thunder will be back home starting October 20, and with their return comes a whole bunch of exciting events planned through the end of the year. See what’s in store for the first half of the 2018-2019 hockey season in Glens Falls!

October 20
Opening Night will feature a light up stick giveaway presented by Saratoga Eagle, plus a pregame party starting at 5 PM! Tickets are on sale now, including the $64 Stewart’s Four Pack: four tickets, four Thunder water bottles, four games of bowling at Kingpin’s Alley Family Fun Center, and a $20 gift card to Stewart’s Shops.
October 27
This year’s Military Appreciation Night is sponsored by UA Local 773 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. The team will be wearing military-themed red, white, and blue jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit local military charities.
November 21
Spend Thanksgiving evening at a Thunder game! Are you a student? Bring your college ID to the box office and receive a $10 ticket.
November 24
On Hockey Fights Type 1 Diabetes Night, the team will wear specialty warm-up jerseys sponsored by Jake’s Heroes, JDRF, and Hockey Fights T1D, that will once again be available for bidding through a silent auction.
December 1
When you bring a canned or non-perishable food item as a donation to the Thunder’s annual food drive on December 1, you’ll receive a free ticket redeemable for the December 28 game against Manchester! All collections will be donated to the Open Door Mission, providing food for families in need before the holidays.
December 8
Bring your skates for a post-game skate with the Thunder team, sponsored by Glens Falls Hospital. Learn tips and tricks while chatting with the pros!
Couldn’t make the canned food drive? Bring a coat to the annual coat drive on December 8 and score a ticket to the January 4 game against Manchester.
December 15
It’s Black Panther against Star-Lord at MARVEL Superhero night, presented by Aviation Mall! See the Thunder (wearing Black Panther jerseys) go head to head against the Monarchs (representing Star-Lord), then bid on each team’s specialty MARVEL jerseys after the game. The jerseys will be available via MeiGray in the following weeks, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
December 15 is also Teddy Bear Toss night. Toss your teddy bear on the ice after the first Thunder score of the game, either bringing your own or buying one in the lobby. Everyone who participates will receive a raffle ticket to win one of the MARVEL Black Panther jerseys! All bears collected will be donated to the Queensbury Salvation Army.
December 31
Ring in 2019 at the arena with a New Year’s Eve game presented by Saratoga Eagle. Enjoy a special ticket deal: 2 for $20.19! The puck will drop at 5 PM.
