Head to The Little Theater on the Farm this weekend for spooks and thrills! The theme this year for the Haunted Barn is “Aliens: Area 27.” The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for kids four to 12.

Itching to show off your Halloween costume? You don’t have to wait for Halloween! Stop by the Boar’s Nest Bar & Grill in Fort Ann on Saturday where they’ll be hosting a costume party and contest.

The Queensbury United Methodist Church is hosting a Fall Family Festival. There will be cookie decorating, a photobooth, a bounce house, food (including cider doughnuts and candy!), hot cocoa, and tons of games.
Sunday, October 21
Harvest Fest is taking place at Glens Falls City Park and will include tunes from DJ Mike DuBray, local food and artisan vendors, pony rides, face painting, a bounce house, and kids crafts and games.
Check Out Short Films at the Adirondack Film Festival

The Adirondack Film Festival, now in its third year, is happening now through Sunday. Short films are being shown throughout Glens Falls in a variety of genres. Admission is $30 for a one-day pass or $55 will get you admission to all films Friday through Sunday, as well as the one film happening today (Thursday) if seating is still available.
Adirondack Film Festival at The Hyde

How fun is this? A film that happens to be called Mrs. Hyde is being shown at The Hyde as part of the Adirondack Film Festival. This is a French film about a teacher who is despised by her colleagues and students.
Unwind With Music & Dancing

Love classic country music? Whiskey River will be performing at The Strand in Hudson Falls on Friday evening. Admission is $10.
Ballroom Dance Class & Dance Party

If you’ve ever been curious about ballroom dancing the Glens Falls Ballet and Dance Academy is offering a class on Friday evening that will be followed by a dance party. They’ll be learning the Foxtrot, Rumba, and the Hustle. They’re asking for a $6 donation.
Participate in a Local 5K
Saturday, October 20
This 5K is the first of its kind. Come out for the inaugural Race for Cerebral Palsy, held by the Glens Falls Elks Lodge in Queensbury. The cost to run is $25 and proceeds are going towards providing important services for those with cerebral palsy and the people who care for them, including transportation to and from appointments.
Lyme Away 5K Run and One Mile Walk

The third annual Lyme Away 5K Run and One Mile Walk is happening at Crandall Park and Cole Woods. Registration is $30 and proceeds go towards the Lyme Action Network’s education and advocacy work.

Ready to test out your detective skills? The Historical Society of Moreau and South Glens Falls is hosting a History Mystery at the Queensbury Senior Citizens Center. The group will be examining bizarre artifacts from the past in an attempt to figure out their uses. The cost is $3 to participate.
