Downtown Glens Falls will transform into a winter wonderland this weekend during the city’s 2018 Hometown Holidays Celebration. The festivities will kick off with a tree lighting at 5:45pm on Friday and afterwards activities and attractions will take place throughout downtown. Whether you’re visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus or enjoying musical performances and hot cocoa, you’re sure to get in the holiday spirit in Glens Falls.
27th Annual North Country Festival of Trees – Thursday, November 29 – Sunday, December 2
It’s all about lights, lights, and more lights at the annual North Country Festival of Trees in Glens Falls. Hosted by the Prospect Center at the Queensbury Hotel, this dazzling holiday festival attracts hundreds of visitors each year who want to see all the beautifully decorated trees and displays. 30th Annual Christmas in Warrensburgh – Saturday, December 1 & Sunday, December 2
Head north into the Adirondacks for one of the top events of the holiday season – Christmas in Warrensburgh. This two-day community celebration offers tons of fun for the family, including church bazaars, horse drawn carriage rides, a living nativity, a Christmas tree lighting, and much more.
So. High Marathon Dance Christmas Variety & Craft Show – Sunday, December 2
Help support next year’s South High Marathon Dance by attending this Christmas Variety & Craft Show at the Great Escape Lodge Ballroom. SPM Productions will present a variety show of music and comedy skits featuring Alvin and the Chipmunks, Rudolph, the Grinch, and other holiday characters. Local crafters will be on-site selling their products.
Reindeer Run & Reindeer Run Jr. – Sunday, December 2
Don’t let the cool early winter weather stop you from running for a cause. This Sunday, the Adirondack Runners will present the annual Reindeer Run & Reindeer Run Jr. at SUNY Adirondack. Sign up for the 4-mile course, or have your kids participate in the 1-mile fun run. All proceeds from the event will benefit Cindy’s Comfort Camp.

Adirondack Thunder vs. Reading Royals – Saturday, December 1
Get your tickets now for the Adirondack Thunder’s Saturday night home game against the Reading Royals. The puck will drop at 7:00pm at Cool Insuring Arena. Saturday will also feature the team’s canned food drive; anyone who brings a canned or non-perishable food item to donate will receive a ticket redeemable for the Thunder’s December 28 game.
