Hudson Falls Hometown Holiday Celebration – Friday, December 7
Bask in the magic of this festive time of year at the Hudson Falls Hometown Holiday Celebration! Bring the whole family and enjoy Christmas carols, a traditional tree lighting, a parade and Santa rescue event, and more holiday fun to end the night.
Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting in Queensbury – Friday, December 7
Santa Claus is coming to Queensbury this Friday to hear all the children’s wishes at the town’s Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting. The kids will love meeting holiday characters and taking part in the festivities at this free community event.
Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting in Granville – Friday, December 7
The Village of Granville will light up the night on Friday with their annual Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting. The celebration will kick off with a small parade to Veteran’s Park at 6:00pm, and then Santa and a group of elementary school students will turn on the holiday lights. While you’re there, be sure to explore the open houses at The Pember Library and Museum and the Slate Valley Museum.
Christmas in Cambridge Weekend – Friday, December 7 – Sunday, December 9
Over the years, Christmas in Cambridge has transformed into a three-day holiday celebration that gets everyone in the local community involved. For 2018, the schedule includes a tree lighting at Memorial Park, a Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair, live music, and much more.
17th Annual Holiday Open House – Saturday, December 8 & Sunday, December 9
Browse artworks and gifts from over 80 artists and artisans at The Shirt Factory’s annual Holiday Open House this weekend. Search for unique items, watch the live demonstrations, and have the kids take part in some hands-on activities.
8th Annual Latke Fest – Sunday, December 9
Love latkes? This Sunday, Temple Beth El in Glens Falls will host the 8th Annual Latke Fest from 2:00pm-4:30pm. Join them for live klezmer music, children’s activities, holiday treats, and the day’s main event, the latke contest. Taste delicious fried potato pancakes, vote for your favorite, and celebrate the holiday season.
Attend Magical Holiday Season Performances
Adirondack Ballet Theater Presents The Nutcracker Ballet – Friday, December 7 – Sunday, December 9
Nothing says the holiday season like a performance of the timeless classic “The Nutcracker.” Here in Glens Falls, the Adirondack Ballet Theater will spread holiday cheer with their 27th annual presentation of “The Nutcracker” at the Charles R. Wood Theater. The show will take place on Friday at 7:00pm, on Saturday at 1:00pm and 6:00pm, and Sunday at 1:00pm.
Glens Falls Symphony: A North Country Holiday – Sunday, December 9
Experience the warmth and beauty of the holidays by attending the Glens Falls Symphony’s annual holiday concert at Glens Falls High School. This year’s concert will feature the Glens Falls Symphony and Children’s Chorus along with guest musicians Hanneke Cassel and Keith Murphy.
