Are you ready for the winter weather that’s expected this weekend? Although you may have to spend time shoveling, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun too. We’ve rounded up 6 events and activities that are worth attending in the Glens Falls Region!

Friday, January 18
In celebration of the super blood moon, Sip & Canvas in Glens Falls will host a Winter Blood Moon Wood Pallet Painting event on Friday night. Bring your friends and family and enjoy painting with help from the studio’s instructors.
The World Awareness Children’s Museum is kicking off their “Artists Adventures” series this Friday! This six week art class series will teach children about the countries represented in the museum and basic drawing and painting techniques.
Cheer on the hometown Adirondack Thunder hockey team as they face off against the Wheeling Nailers. The puck will drop at 7:00pm.
Saturday, January 19
Visit The Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls for a Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Saturday beginning at 7:00pm. The event will be hosted by Milayne Jackson, Jeff Kingsley, and Gary Brooks, and it will feature The Heavenly Echos, The HRMH House Band, and Catherine Reid. Assemblywoman Woerner will be the guest speaker.
On Saturday night, the Adirondack Thunder will take on the visiting Brampton Beast in an exciting hockey matchup. Visitors can also enjoy “Family Fun Night” at Cool Insuring Arena, which will feature pre-game entertainment in Heritage Hall with help from Entertainment One.
Sunday, January 20
The Battenkill Conservancy and Christ the King Spirit Life Center will present their 2nd Annual Full Moon Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Hike on Sunday at 6:30pm. Attendees can choose to ski, snowshoe, or simply walk along the Center’s illuminated trails. This event is perfect for adults, teens, and families with young children, and pre-registration is required.
