Like many other major events for 2020, the annual Winter Raptor Fest that takes place at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich is going virtual, and they need your help to make sure the event takes flight.
What to Expect This Year
Winter Raptor Fest, brought to us by the nonprofit Grassland Bird Trust (GBT), is in its 10th year and plans to film live from the Fairgrounds to air on October 18th. Programs will be held in the grassland and woodland habitats, including flight demonstrations. Those tuning in will get to see a wide diversity of owls that only come out at night and other grassland raptors. Additional animals to be featured include a Lynx, red fox, and porcupine.
This professionally designed and directed event will be produced in collaboration with Look Media, Junda Video Enterprises, and Washington County Fairgrounds.
GBT Needs Your Help!
GBT needs to raise $20,000 by September 7th to make this awesome event a reality. Donation levels start at $25 for a family link to the virtual event. Donate $100 or more and you’ll also receive a family membership and your choice of a free tee-shirt from Bird Collective’s “Grassland Bird Trust” line of apparel and accessories, or up to $20 off your online order of $20 or more.
Winter Raptor Fest serves as a significant fundraiser for GBT’s work to preserve critical habitat for endangered and threatened grassland birds.
