There are several updates with festive events in the region…
Thanksgiving Day Book Parade
The Crandall Public Library invites children of all ages to join in a Thanksgiving Day Book Parade! Kids dress up as their favorite book character and parade round City Park on November 20. Register on the library’s website.
North Country Festival of Trees
The North Country Festival of Trees will take place at the Queensbury Hotel once again, from November 26 to 28. Proceeds benefit the Prospect Center. As with last year, this year’s event will be a “boutique shopping experience” wherein guests can purchase trees, wreaths, stockings, centerpieces, gingerbread houses, and more.
Holiday Lighted Nights
The drive-through Holiday Lighted Nights will happen at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich from November 26 to December 23. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Holiday Festival of Lights
Holiday Festival of Lights returns to Lake George November 27 to December 31, except it’s taking over the entire Village, and includes three special one-off events.
Christmas in Warrensburgh Comes to Glens Falls
This holiday event celebrated in Warrensburg each year is coming to the Shirt Factory for an Indoor Holiday Market & Artisan Fair on December 4. You can expect Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers Market vendors, artist demonstrations, live music, kids crafts, and more.

Georgia O’Keeffe Painting at The Hyde
The Hyde Collection has lent out Boy Holding a Blue Vase by Pablo Picasso to the Phillips Collection in Washington DC and has received in return Pattern of Leaves by Georgia O’Keeffe.
Known as one of the most significant artists of the 20th century, O’Keeffe had ties to the Lake George area and spent several summers and falls in the region. The piece will be on display through May 1, 2022.
Sunday Fun Day Hockey Games
Adirondack Thunder is now offering family fun day ticket specials for Sunday matinee home games. The $54 Family Fun Day Hat Trick deal includes three game tickets, popcorn, and soda to enjoy at Sunday home games this season. You can see more info at echlthunder.com.
Open Door Mission Receives Surprise Grant
The Open Door Mission recently received a $500,000 grant from Business for Good Foundation, a nonprofit in Saratoga Springs that works to support local businesses and communities. The funds will go towards the ongoing renovation at 226 Warren Street, including the second floor, which will have classrooms, a computer lab, and offices.
