Scratch Kitchen Open in Glens Falls
Seasoned chef, Denver Semon, opens her horizons by opening Scratch Kitchen, a cafe and bakery located at 199 Warren Street in Glens Falls.
Semon's previous credits include Executive Chef of Flight Wine Bar & Restaurant, Executive Chef of the Aviator Restaurant, and Executive Chef at Jimbo’s/Point O’Pines. This restaurant will provide Semon with a change of pace, focusing on creating sandwiches, salads, baked goods and pastries, specialty coffee drinks, prepared meals, and more versus her previous credits including mainly dinner meals.
A play on words with the title of the restaurant, all meals at the restaurant are made from scratch. In addition to food and drinks, Semon will sell flower bouquets, vegetables, and herbs at Scratch Kitchen. News10 notes that Semon also has a nursery license and cultivates the plants on her property.

There's a New Jeweler In Town
Hannoush Jewelers has opened a new location, their third, in Queensbury, having taken over the former Louis Jewelers space at 1054 Route 9. Their other locations are in Clifton Park and Albany.
The 3,500-square-foot space has been renovated with a dedicated bridal section and a Gabriel & Co. Store-in-store.
Visit them 10am to 6pm Monday through Friday, or 10am to 5pm Saturday.

History on the Move: Explore Warren County's Past on the Bikeway
The Warren County Bikeway is upping its game with a brand new letterbox challenge. This exciting blend of exercise and historical exploration invites walkers and cyclists to embark on a riddle-solving adventure along the scenic path.
The free challenge kicks off in Glens Falls and concludes at Lake George's Battlefield Park. Participants will be presented with riddles that lead them to ten historically significant locations, each tied to the county's role in 18th-century military conflicts.
Interestingly, the bikeway itself follows a section of the Old Military Road, once traversed by troops during the French and Indian War and the American Revolution.
In a News10 article, Sara Frankenfeld, co-architect of Letterbox the Bikeway, said, "There are so many neat and interesting things to see along Warren County Bikeway, chief among them historic sites where events occurred that helped shape our region and nation."
Those who successfully complete the challenge, by finding and collecting all the hidden box stamps in their passports, will be rewarded with a commemorative patch. Passports can be obtained from the Warren County Planning Department, and the hidden boxes are scattered throughout the designated route.
This innovative program aims to get people outdoors while fostering a deeper appreciation for the region's rich history.

Uncle Mario's Garage to Take Over Farmstead Flatbread Space
A new restaurant is preparing to open in Queensbury at the former Farmstead Flatbread Space at 1066 Route 9.
Uncle Mario's Garage is in conversation with the Queensbury Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, according to the Glens Falls Chronicle.
Mario DiSiena, who owns The Furniture House next door, has purchased the space and been renovating it for the past two years.
Uncle Mario's Garage will be a car-themed restaurant with offerings similar to that of Farmstead Flatbread, including wood-fired pizza.
