Schuylerville NY

Named after the Schuyler family, who resided in the area and played a role in the American Revolution, Schuylerville stands as a testament to one of the proudest chapters in the nation's history.

It was known at the time as Fort Saratoga. It was the area that the crucial Battle of Saratoga, often coined "the turning point of the Revolution," was fought and won. A 154-ft monument stands on the battlefield to memorialize the victory, and is accessible via staircase for visitors to enjoy a spectacular view.

Schuylerville is also home to the Schuyler and Marshall Houses, two homes of historical significance which have been maintained as close to the original constructs as possible. Of course, Schuylerville is also home to many modern attractions and businesses, each slightly less historical but every bit as enjoyable.
