Feel like getting dressed up in a goofy or scary costume? Well, go with it and come on downtown with your kids – who’d probably like to do the same. Afterall, it’s Halloween!
On Friday, October 29 we’re closing up downtown Glen Street from 5pm-8:30pm to make room for the thousands of folks who trick or treat (thank goodness mostly it’s only treat) to their hearts content in a safe environment. All the downtown businesses open their doors providing aboatload of candy for the goblins, princesses, and Harry Potters.
To add to the festivities, popular Country Express band will be playing from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
If you like dancing, the Glens Falls Ballet & Dance Center will be performing some routines (spook-inspired, of course!) at 5:45pm, 6:45pm, and 8:00pm.
The Wood Theater is having a live performance of The Rocky Horror Show starting at 8:00pm. How camp is that!
A free wagon ride aroud town will be provided by Newcome Farms from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Their beautiful wagon is pulled by two lovely horses. The lines for this are usually pretty long so get here early!
All in all, weather permitting, it should be a fanastic event for the kids in all of us.
Bye for now, Alice
PS. Spay or neuter your pets.
