The South High Marathon Dance will take place on March 3-4 to benefit local charities and those in need. This 28-hour marathon event is expected to attract over 1,000 volunteers, participants, and spectators.
Parking restrictions will be put in place beginning 3 p.m. on March 3 through 11 p.m. on March 4.
South High Marathon Dance Parking Restrictions
There will be no parking on either side of Merritt Road or Elmwood Drive from 3 p.m. March 3 – 11 p.m. March 4.
Parking at the high school will be limited to the handicapped, current Marathon Dance recipients, and those with special permits.
15 minute parking at the high school will be in place for pick up and drop off. Dancer drop-off on Friday night will follow the same procedure as every year.
Where to Park for the South High Marathon Dance
Volunteers and alumni can park at Tanglewood Elementary. Shuttles will be running from 4:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday. The parking lot at the high school will be open overnight while shuttles are not running.
Spectators may park at Mr. Bill’s, Kingpin’s Alley, the United Methodist Church, and the First Baptist Church. Shuttles will also run from these designated parking areas on March 3 from 5:15 p.m. – 11 p.m. and March 4 from 7 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. (restarting after the Dance Finale).
