About this event
Temple Beth El warmly invites the community to a special Pride Shabbat on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 PM, at 3 Marion Avenue in Glens Falls. This meaningful evening celebrates the intersections of Jewish and LGBTQ+ identities, affirming Temple Beth El’s commitment to love, diversity, and inclusion.
This inclusive Shabbat service will honor LGBTQ+ voices and celebrate the shared values of love, welcoming, and belonging. Open to all - regardless of religious background, identity, or affiliation - the evening will feature inclusive prayers, music, and a short, meaningful message.
“As a Reform Jewish congregation, we believe everyone is created b’tzelem Elohim - in the image of God,” said Rob Burchfield, incoming Beth El President of the Board of Trustees. “Pride Shabbat is a joyful moment to affirm that belief and welcome all who seek connection, community, and celebration.”
All are welcome to attend this free and family-friendly event. Join us for a post-service Oneg (socializing with refreshments) following the service. Street parking is available on Glen and Marion Streets, and in the ANA parking lot off Glen Street after 5:00 PM. Please use the side entrance and ring the middle buzzer.
