Maple, anyone? We’ve got every “Maple Weekend” event happening in the area this weekend – tour sugarhouses, learn about maple production, and of course sample maple products! If maple isn’t your thing, we have five other awesome events to check out.

It’s Maple Season!
If you’re into maple products, there are several maple-themed events happening close to Glens Falls.
Maple Weekend at Battlehill Maple
Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26
Come and see Battlehill Maple’s brand new sugarhouse in Fort Ann, situated amongst a scenic valley. Enjoy samples of maple syrup, maple cream, and maple candies.
Maple Weekend at Hidden Hollow Maple Farm
Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26
Take a sugarhouse tour and learn about maple syrup production at Hidden Hollow Maple Farm in Warrensburg. Weather permitting, there will also be the boiling of maple.
Maple Weekend at Grottoli’s Maple
Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26
Come and have a pancake breakfast at Grottoli’s Maple in Middle Granville, and then tour the sugarhouse. The tour includes the sampling of many maple products including maple syrup, maple cream, and maple candy! You pay for breakfast; the tour and samples are free.

Maple Acres in Granville is offering free admission to tour their sugarhouse and then head to the maple woods to find out how sap becomes syrup. There will be maple baked goods with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
2017 Thurman Maple Days & Maple Weekend at Toad Hill Maple Farm
Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26
This is the last weekend of “Thurman Maple Days!” Four maple farms, including Toad Hill Maple Farm, are participating in the Athol/Thurman area. Watch sap being gathered, eat pancake breakfasts, and more at each maple house.
Tour the large timberframe sugarhouse at Toad Hill Maple Farm in Thurman and learn about how maple syrup is made. Take a wagon ride over to the new covered bridge into the sugarbrush and see how the sap is collected from the trees. Toad Hill Maple Farm combines traditional methods with the latest technology to produce some of the finest maple products, which you’ll be able to sample in their kitchen.
Maple Weekend at Dry Brook Sugarhouse

A pancake breakfast and horse-drawn wagon rides (weather permitting) are waiting for you at the Dry Brook Sugarhouse in Salem.

Federation Tournament of Champions
Friday, March 24 to Sunday, March 26
The Glens Falls Civic Center welcomes the Federation Basketball Tournament players and fans to an entire weekend of exciting sports! Come out to cheer on the players competing for their respective high schools.
Friday, March 24
Enjoy quality time with the family at the Glens Falls YMCA with legos! Some legos will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own as well. Pizza will be served, and there will be a family swim time at 8pm.
Saturday, March 25
The Glens Falls Farmers Market is hosting a Soup Cook Off! Sample a variety of soups made by the market vendors and vote for your favorite! Recipes will be available so you can purchase ingredients you need right at the market and then make your favorite soup at home.
Shamrock Shuffle & Leprechaun Leap
Sunday, March 26
Don’t miss the Adirondack Runners 31st annual Shamrock Shuffle & Leprechaun Leap! Races are happening at the Glens Falls High School. The Shamrock Shuffle is a 5 mile, fast loop, and the Leprechaun Leap is a 7/8 mile run for kids 12 and under. The Shamrock Shuffle costs $23 in advance or $28 on race day, and the Leprechaun Leap is a $3 donation. You can register the day of the event. Race proceeds benefit the Warren-Washington Counties NYS Special Olympics Programs.

The Hyde is once again hosting its popular Art & Yoga class, $10 for members, $12 for non-members. Enjoy yoga amongst watercolor paintings of acclaimed artist Allen Blagden. You must RSVP to reserve your spot, and bring your own yoga mat.
