Head up to Rogers Park in Bolton Landing – a little over a half hour north of Glens Falls – for end of the summer fun and Labor Day celebrations. Live music performances will be happening from 5pm to 8pm with fireworks to follow.

The Adirondack Independence Music Festival is happening at Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George. This is a two-day, multi-band event with an exciting lineup of groups. There will be a great selection of beer, wine, and food as well.

North Country ARTS is hosting a party at the second floor gallery of City Hall in Glens Falls. They’ll be celebrating Frederick Holman, artist of the month for September. Check out paintings and enjoy some great food and refreshments.
Ellsworth Kelly: Slow Curve and Ellsworth Kelly: Fruits & Flowers

Have you checked out the Ellsworth Kelly exhibitions at The Hyde yet? Slow Curve takes a look at curved fields of colors – tight ellipses, rounded corners, and broad arcs. Fruits & Flowers examines line-drawn geometric shapes of Kelly’s with plants, fruits, and flowers.

Want to create your own art instead of just looking at pieces? Stop by The Hyde on Saturday for the Drop In and Draw. The museum provides materials and an activity sheet for a self-guided lesson with techniques inspired by The Hyde’s collection.

A moderate, four-mile hike is happening on Labor Day at Moreau Lake State Park that goes past the overlook of Moreau Lake. Reservations are required.
