Smithsonian Museum Day Live! at The Hyde

You can check out The Hyde on Saturday free of charge as part of the Smithsonian Magazine’s 13th annual Museum Day Live! This is an initiative where participating museums across the country take on the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities, which offer free admission every day. Although the event is free, you must download a ticket at Smithsonian.com/museumday.
Cemetery & Ghost Tours
Theatrical Cemetery Tour at Pineview Cemetery

Some historical theater is taking place at the Pineview Cemetery in Queensbury this weekend. Actors will be bringing to life stories relating to the history of Glens Falls and Queensbury. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for kids 12 to 18, and children under 12 are free. This is a popular event that often sells out, so consider getting tickets in advance.
Ghost Tours at Fort William Henry
Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23
It’s not at a cemetery, but this tour does take place somewhere with a history of ghosts: Fort William Henry. You’ll be able to see equipment used by investigators searching for paranormal activity and hear the stories and experiences that have been handed down for years. Tickets are $18 for adults, $8 for kids 5 to 15, and reservations are required. Tours are happening throughout September and October on Friday and Saturday nights.

The seventh annual Hole in One for Heroes Golf Tournament is this Sunday at Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury. Tickets are $100 a person ($400 for a four-person team), with proceeds going towards various nonprofit veterans organizations.

Enjoy some great food in between the balloon launches for a great cause this weekend – the annual Tom Stark & Dan LaRock Jr. Memorial Fundraiser is happening at Boar’s Nest Bar & Grill in Fort Ann. There will be a barbecue, live music, raffles, a silent auction, a corn hole tournament, a bounce house, games, and a cruise-in car show.
