Food & Fun for Great Causes
Sunday, October 1
Taste of the North Country is now in its 25th year! Come out to Glens Falls City Park to enjoy a wide array of food samples from local restaurants. Food tickets are $1 each; samples vary from one to four tickets. Proceeds go towards the Glens Falls Kiwanis and their many community service projects.
Saturday, September 30
Bring your costumes, headlamps, and flashlights for this 5K. The Flashlight 5K is happening at Cole’s Woods and will occur right after sunset, around 7:30pm. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and The Friends of Cole’s Woods.

Sunday, October 1
Play mini golf at Pirate’s Cove in Queensbury at $15 per person to benefit Double H Ranch. After the game, head over to West Mountain for a barbecue and kids games.
A Music Festival
Wild Adriatic Hosts “The Summit” Hometown Music Festival

Wild Adriatic is hosting a music festival this weekend at The Queensbury Hotel with performances from Let’s Be Leonard, Angels on the Fourth, Girl Blue, and many others. Tickets are $15 for one day or $25 for both.

Fright Fest starts at The Great Escape this weekend. The park transforms once night falls as the living dead and other haunts come out to play. Want to enjoy the fun without the spooks? Go during the day for more family-friendly fun.

A Bark in the Dark costume parade for dogs is happening at The Great Escape as part of Fright Fest on Sunday. Bring your dressed up dog for a chance to win prizes. If you bring a dog toy, dog treats, or a dog bone to be donated to Friends of Phoebie Animal Rescue you’ll receive a discounted rate on admission.
A Giant Garage Sale
The World’s Largest Garage Sale
Saturday, September 30
Warrensburg, a little less than half an hour from Glens Falls, is once again hosting “The World’s Largest Garage Sale.” In addition to a number of antiques, collectibles, and more you can find, there will also be over 25 food vendors and an Oktoberfest-style Bier Garden from Adirondack Pub & Brewery.
