The Hyde Collection’s biggest fundraiser is their annual gala, which will be held in Glens Falls on October 26, 2018. This year’s event will shine a spotlight on the museum’s storied past and retrace the steps of founders Charlotte and Louis Hyde as they traveled the world to build their incredible art collection.
Learn About The Hyde’s History
The theme of the 2018 gala will be “A Lasting Legacy: Honoring the Past | Celebrating the Present | Building the Future.” Attendees will have the opportunity to view an exhibit of Hyde history in the Whitney-Renz and Hoopes Galleries.
Photographs, paintings, journal entries, and other memorabilia will take you on a journey as you see the world through the eyes of Charlotte and Louis Hyde. In addition, the historic Hyde House will be open and feature period clothing and home decor.

The gala will be held in the Wood and Feibes & Schmitt Galleries at The Hyde Collection on October 26 at 6:00pm, and highlights will include a performance by Seagle Music Colony, cuisine by Morgan & Co., libations from Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, and a live auction with packages of expensive experiences.
During the evening, the museum will honor Interim Director Anne Saile with the inaugural Legacy Award in recognition of her contributions to furthering The Hyde’s mission of enriching lives with art. Throughout her tenure as Interim Director, Saile has helped The Hyde thrive, with attendance expected to surpass last year’s by 25 percent.
Although tickets to this black-tie event are sold out, funds raised will benefit The Hyde’s programming and promotion of the arts.
