Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade
Saturday, November 17
The sixth annual Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade is taking place in Greenwich. Each tractor in this parade is required to have a minimum of 1,000 lights; each tractor with a float or trailer must have at least 2,000 lights. This will be a sight to see! There will also be food trucks and vendors.
South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade
Sunday, November 18
The annual South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade is also taking place this weekend, although on Sunday, so you can attend both parades! This one will comprise of bands (high school and professional), and floats created by local businesses. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Moreau Community Center, or a new toy to donate to the local Toys for Girls and Boys program.

Chapman Historical Museum Wine & Chocolate Tasting
Friday, November 16
Wine and chocolate? Yes please! The Chapman Historical Museum is hosting their annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting at The Queensbury Hotel. Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door and you’ll get to sample your choice of gourmet chocolate, chocolate desserts, artisan cheese, and more than 60 different kinds of wines. There will also be live music, a silent auction, and more fun.
Jump Into the Lake
Saturday, November 17
Once again a large group of people will be plunging into the cold waters of Lake George to raise funds for the Special Olympics. This is a fun and unique – although quite chilly – experience. If you’d like to just check it out, spectators are free, or otherwise you can register in advance or on the day of.

Check Out Japanese Culture at The Hyde

Head to The Hyde on Saturday afternoon for a Japanese Tea Ceremony. This event will involve a presentation and demonstration on the history and philosophy of the Japanese tea ceremony. Samples of tea will be available for the audience to taste. The cost is $8 for non-members.
Floating World: Skidmore Dance Performance
Saturday, November 17
Floating World consists of a scrolling and traveling progression of choreographic episodes that are inspired by Ukiyo-e, a genre of Japanese art. The cost is $15 for non-members.
Listen to Live Music
Saturday, November 17
The North Country Jazz Project is an 18-piece band that plays all types of music including jazz and Latin. The band is made up of area musical professionals that come from all different backgrounds, so it’s a really eclectic group. They’ll be performing at The Park Theater and admission is $18.
Saturday, November 17
The Harrisena Community Church in Queensbury is hosting a bluegrass night with the band Just Passing Thru. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family.
Sunday, November 18
Stop by The Strand Theater in Hudson Falls for a fundraising concert with The Heavenly Echoes and JV Blues Band. Proceeds are going towards Doreen’s Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, The Open Door Mission, and the Fort Edward Food Pantry.
Participate in a Basket Raffle

The Queensbury Senior Center is hosting their annual basket raffle. Stop by between now and Friday to purchase raffle tickets and pick which basket or baskets you want to win. There will be over 60 baskets to choose from with items like hotel stays, scratch off tickets, and cold hard cash.
