The fifth annual Glens Falls WingFest is coming up on the 27th in downtown Glens Falls. Find out what to expect and then come hungry to the event!
Glens Falls WingFest is a competition between restaurants for the best wings. Tasting is from 12pm to 3pm with an awards ceremony to follow at the bandstand in City Park at 3:30pm.
Guests taste wings from 20 participating restaurants. Downtown restaurants serve from their storefronts, while visiting restaurants serve from other storefronts along Glen, Ridge, Bay, and Maple Streets. Restaurants compete for four prizes: Best Overall, Best Visitor (restaurants not located in downtown Glens Falls), Best Rookie, and Best Non-Meat.
Each guest receives a paper map that include People’s Choice Ballots for voting after tasting. Tasting tickets are $1 each, with the number of tickets to taste varying by restaurant. The ballots may be returned to where tickets are on sale.
WingFest guests can also enjoy live music throughout downtown on three different stages and a Beer Garden courtesy of The Queensbury Hotel.
