Beat the heat next week and visit the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls for the Adirondack Theatre Festival‘s latest production. From Tuesday, July 23 through Saturday, July 27, catch Sequence, a thriller written by Arun Lakra and directed by Marshall Pailet. Performances run every day at 7:30 pm, with an added 2 pm matinee on Wednesday, July 24.
The play examines the natures of luck and coincidence as it follows the “Luckiest Man Alive” and a very unfortunate man. Sequence will also have 16 on-stage seats for audience members, a first for the Adirondack Theatre Festival. Attendees in these seats will have a unique view of the production, but won’t be participating in the play.
Sequence stars Margaret Reed, Bob D’Haene, Doug Plaut, and Turna Mete. The play has won several accolades, such as the Woodward Newman Drama Prize, the Alberta Playwriting Competition Grand Prize, and the Betty Mitchell Award, and was shortlisted for the STAGE International Script Competition.
Tickets range between $34 and $45, and it’s recommended that you purchase them ahead of time, as they tend to sell out. The 25th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival began on June 14 and continues through August 9 at the Charles R. Wood Theater.
