Drum and bugle corps from across North America return to East Field on Monday, July 22 at 7 pm. Spend the evening experiencing the sound and pageantry of these competitive corps as they perform classical, jazz, rock, and new age music, all while displaying impressive marching ability.

Drum Corps International, known as “Marching Music’s Major League,” tours the country each summer and has been stopping in Glens Falls since 1981. This will be their second year in a row at the Glens Falls Music Academy Showcase, after returning to the area for the first time in five years in 2018.
This year’s roster features several competitive drum corps — the lineup currently includes the Raiders of Burlington, New Jersey; the 7th Regiment of New London, Connecticut; the Legends of Kalamazoo, Michigan; the Spartans of Nashua, New Hampshire; and Southwind of Mobile, Alabama. Additional teams may be added.
“This really is a spectacle – you can’t understand it until you see it,” Glens Falls Music Academy owner Chris Reed, Jr. said in a statement. “Every kid who’s in middle or high school band right now will hopefully come to this and be inspired – maybe even audition for one of the northeast Drum Corps!”
Tickets for the East Field event can be purchased from the Cool Insuring Box Office or through the Glens Falls Music Academy’s website. Admission costs $25 to $33 for adults. Children under 3 get in free, while tickets for those 4-12 are $16.
