Shoppers at Aviation Mall will soon be able to hunt for epic deals on great name brands at the new Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. On Wednesday, August 28, the retailer will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and a meet & greet with retired New York Yankees player Graig Nettles.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is a nationally-recognized retailer that, in line with its slogan Good Stuff Cheap, sells overstock and closeout name brand merchandise at up to 70% off the prices they would be in department stores. Shoppers can browse a full slate of discounted items, including clothing, books, food, housewares, domestics, furniture, electronics, toys, health and beauty products, flooring, and seasonal merchandise.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 9 am on Wednesday, but shoppers should arrive early if they want to attend the meet & greet. Starting at 7:30 am, the first 250 people in line will receive a ticket to the event. At 10 am, Graig Nettles, former player for the New York Yankees, will meet and take photos with attendees, who can also bring their own memorabilia for him to sign.
“We are excited to open our 21st store in the great state of New York,” President and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Mark Butler, said in a statement. “I couldn’t be prouder to have Graig Nettles join our team at the grand opening. He is a well-respected MLB Great and we’re glad that fans in Queensbury and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to meet him at our grand opening.”
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet’s new location will occupy the space formerly held by The Bon Ton.
