Take on the new Chapman Challenge by visiting some of the most unique and historical sites around the area. Whether you’re looking to do some outdoor exploring, historical digging, or are just getting to know the area, this quest is for you!
The Chapman Museum challenges locals to explore the places, history, people and monuments that have shaped the towns of Glens Falls and Queensbury. The area and its culture are made up of everyone who has lived and made a mark here. You can find the historical footprints across town with the guidance of this scavenger hunt.
To complete the challenge, visit 20 of the 35 special locations.
These include the 1980 Olympics Commemorative Torch, the Floyd Bennett Airfield, and other parks, fields, buildings and monuments. Some of the locations challenge you to do a little research with the help of a clue. Find a street named after a food, and you’ll be on your way!
Those who complete the challenge will receive an official button from the Chapman Museum. They will also be added to the list of finishers on the museum’s website.
Join in on the fun today! Whether you’re young, old, new to the area, just visiting, or are looking for a fun weekend activity, this challenge is for everyone.
