Tired of Working in Isolation? There’s a New Co-Working Space Downtown!
Years before the pandemic steamrolled working from home into the new norm, Christy Alexander of Queensbury launched WorkSmart. WorkSmart is a co-working and meeting space on Warren Street. Just before COVID-19 hit the scene, she acquired First National Bank in downtown Glens Falls in between the library and SPoT Coffee, with intentions to expand her business.
Renovations have been underway at the historic building, and space is now available to rent. They’re hosting an Open House this Saturday, September 25, from 9am to 11am if you’re interested in checking it out.

Glens Falls Hospital Highlighted by Forbes Magazine
The reputable Forbes has turned the spotlight on Glens Falls Hospital on their list of Best-In-State Employers for 2021. Basically, this is one of the best places to work in the entire state. And, they were ranked 12th among all hospitals in New York State. Pretty impressive!
The Harvest Temporarily Closed Starting Today
The Harvest Restaurant in Queensbury posted on Facebook this week that they’re preparing for their annual shutdown. It’s a few days longer than usual this year – they’ll be closed today, September 23, through October 4. They anticipate a busy holiday season, and are giving staff some much-needed recuperation time. We’ll enjoy pizza, Reuben sandwiches, and more again there soon!
Disc Golf Tournament Raises 10K for Local Fund
The September 17 disc golf tournament at Crandall Park raised $10,000 for the Edward M. Bartholomew Fund, according to a recent tweet from the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB.
This is a new fund established just this year to honor the former Glens Falls Mayor and EDC Warren County President. The fund is intended to carry forth his legacy of public service, and to guide the next generation into serving the community.
