Ice Bars in Lake George & Bolton Landing

There are several ice bars happening in and near Lake George this weekend, including at what was supposed to be the opening of Ice Castles. The full attraction will open on February 3, but they have an ice bar and “mystic light trail” ready for the public to check out with no admission fee.
Saturday Night Fireworks in the Village

If you’re out and about in Lake George checking out ice bars Saturday night, stick around for the weekly fireworks happening at 7pm.

Head to West Mountain for Snowfest this Saturday with a bonfire, food and drink specials, and a free four-hour ski ticket voucher promotion. Yes, you read that right. The voucher is only valid on this day between 2pm and 6pm, while supplies last.
Winter Luau at Northway Brewing

Northway Brewing in Queensbury is hosting a Winter Luau coupled with a special beer release, specialty cocktails from Cooperstown Distilling, live music from Sam Luke, a pop-up oyster bar, and more.

Gurney Lane Recreation Center welcomes back the 5K snowshoe race on Sunday.
Gurney Lane Fat Tire Bike Race

The Fat Tire Bike Race follows the 5K snowshoe. There will also be fat tire rides and demonstrations. This is your chance to try it out if you never have!
Support Local Hockey
There are three Adirondack Thunder games this weekend, January 27, 28, and 29, and they’re all against the Trois-Rivieres Lions. Last Saturday the Thunder crushed the Newfoundland Growlers 5 – 0 – this was perfect timing for the Kiwanis Duck Club Race drawing that took place in between the second and third period!

Comedy After Dark: Caitlin Cook
January 27
Head to the Park Theater for some Friday night laughs with comedian Caitlin Cook. “Not your conventional standup, Caitlin Cook combines witty one-liners and scintillating storytelling with hilariously irreverent musical comedy and projected visuals.” Sounds like an entertaining evening! Tickets start at $22.

One Cleverdale restaurant and 12 Lake George eateries are participating in this year’s Stews & Brews. You get 10 oz of stew and one beer for $10 (or just stew for $5). You can see the list of participants and their stew offerings at the event listing.
The Sweetheart Deal Exhibition Opening

The Sweetheart Deal isn’t just called as much because Valentine’s Day is coming up: it is in fact a sweet deal. North Country ARTS at The Shirt Factory is once again offering the Sweetheart Deal Exhibition, where pieces will be up for sale at $99 or less. The exhibition opens on Saturday, but will be up (and the deal good) through February 18.
