Our 40th Anniversary Season comes to an epic conclusion on Sunday May 5, 2024, with Mozart’s magnificent final work, commissioned by an anonymous stranger. The Mozart Requiem occupies a special place in all of music. Shrouded in mystery, Mozart’s Requiem has sparked stories since the composer’s tragic, troubled death at age 35. Writing in a creative frenzy, pouring out his genius in an attempt to improve his fortunes while fearing his impending death, he put everything he had into this astonishing masterpiece that remains beloved by audiences more than two centuries after its first performance.The symphony proudly welcomes guest artists: Soprano Jazmine Saunders, Mezzo Soprano Grace Heldridge, Tenor Patrick Bessenbacher, and bass Robert Feng performing the vocal quartet solo parts. The orchestra is thrilled to welcome back Adirondack Voices, celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year! Come join us as we celebrate the end of an amazing season, as Maestro Peltz conducts one of the most famous choral works in the classical repertoire. You will not want to miss it!
