Spring 2024 Community Planting Day

About this event

Whether you're brand new to planting trees or an experienced orchardist, come join us for a day of spring planting! It is always so joyful to plant trees in the spring ground with friends and neighbors. All ages welcome. Everyone will receive a hands-on demo, training, and personal support to ensure you go home with a good understanding of how to plant bare-root trees well in a production orchard setting.

We'll plant from 10-4 and finish the day with a cookout. We'll provide some staples, but please feel free to bring a dish to share.

Folks coming from farther away are welcome to camp for the night (plenty of barn and outdoor space available).

If you’re a young farmer interested in future paid work with Breadtree, this is the best first step to meet our team and have the opportunity to work together.

If you're anyone who is seriously interested in agroforestry and travel to this event is prohibitively expensive, please be in touch. We have a limited number of travel stipends available for folks who need them.
