so…sometimes what someone or in this case (a dog) eats is not the best idea. last sunday i was listening to my friend talk about the bolognese sauce she was sharing with me. it is truly an all day affair to correctly create a terrific bolognese. she did it, and i loved it! however, while i was tasting and she was talking, my goldendoodle headed upstairs for his own taste-testing. when i got to the top of the stairs about 15 minutes later, i noticed two small black patches recognizable as my underpants. that was 4 days ago. he goes to doggie day care and each day a small part of what were once large underpants have appeared at the other end of my dog. when i called the vet, he assured me that one of three things has to happen before an x-ray is needed; diarrhea, vomiting, or lethargy. because none of these symptoms are apparent, and small pieces are finding their way “out”, we are in a holding pattern. the dog helped himself to the undies as they were hanging on an antique drying rack. i knew he was the jealous type and since we spend most evenings together, reading (me) and dozing (dog), the bolognese lady had a lot of nerve dividing my attention, so he had to do IT. i only hope the pants were as delicious as i know the bolognese was!
