the move to bolton landing last june was an emotional experience. after a couple of months looking at apartments in glens falls, i decided to go for it and make a real move. i couldn’t get too far from my business, but when i think about how close to the cafe i was living, literally above it, i wanted to make a change so that i could possibly forget about the place when it wasn’t open. that hasn’t happened exactly as i hoped, but bolton is more than i hoped for. the summer street scene was incredible. the main street is a narrow one so no one goes fast from one end of town to the other. there is a subtle sofistication in the town and when i compare the street where i walk bodie to the steet in glens falls where we walked….well, there is no comparison. i enjoyed the music coming from the deck of the restaurant directly across the street from my porch and many people parking on the side street stopped to visit. cars were from all over the u.s. the experience of living in a tourist town in summer was truly exceptional.
