Game of Logging

Based on the internationally accepted “Game of Logging” (GOL) developed by Soren Eriksson, GOL is the industry standard for chain saw safety training. Professional instructors teach timber harvesters, forest landowners, public workers, college students and forestry tech school students the latest and safest techniques to operate/maintain their chain saws and to directionally fell trees under a variety of circumstances. Whether you have never used a chain saw or have years of experience, GOL training is designed to develop safe working skills through demonstration and one-on-one, hands-on practice.

Participants must bring a sound hard hat, lunch, water, long pants, sturdy leather/work/hiking boots, hearing protection, eye protection, a good attitude, a well-rested mind, a drug-free and alcohol-free body, as well as appropriate clothing for the weather and working outside as classes are rarely cancelled due to weather. Participants are encouraged to bring chain saw chaps, leather/chain saw gloves, a personal chain saw and a saw toolkit.
