this weekend is the fourth of july, and we’re cookin’ and bakin’ as fast as we can. we brought in back-up to handle the extra work. it is said in the catering world that you’re only as good as your last meal and we take great pride and responsibility for every food item that leaves the cafe. we’re doing pulled pork and cole slaw, along with baked beans and salads for one oarty, and pantry pans for another. we also need to get together foods for the farmers’ market which include more salads, desserts, macaroni and cheese, soup (gazpacho) and dog biscuits! it’s a busy time for those of us who have chosen this very hectic life. feeding people, seeing those people enjoy our food and the good times brings us joy and satisfaction.
