Farmers Markets aren’t much of a novelty anymore in cities across the country…which is a really good thing. But there are farmers markets and then there are FARMERS MARKETS.
We like to think that the Glens Falls Farmers Market belong to the latter category. These are passionate people who work long and hard bringing us the best in freshly harvested, healthy food.
Under the heading of a picture is worth a thousand words, take a look:
Doesn’t that just inspire you to whip up fresh potato salad with home-made mayo, a little S&P, fresh chives, a quirt of mustard and a fork.
You’ll find around 30 vendors (and growing). Fresh-from-the-earth veggies, creamy, flavorful cheeses made from the milks of softly brown-eyed goats and cows, fresh cut flowers, aromatic honey, and even exotic teas all waiting to grace your pantry. And, at the very least, it’s a fun morning out where you’re bound to run into friends for a good jaw wag,

The Glens Falls Farmers Market in located at the South Street Pavillion and open Saturdays from 8am til 12noon from May 1 – Nov 20, 2010. They often have entertainment and fun for the little ones. Bicycle and bring your own bag to make it a totally green day.
