Gurney Lane Mountain Biking Park & Trail System

118 Gurney Lane Queensbury, NY 12804

Overview

Known as some of the best mountain biking trails in the area, check out the trail system at Gurney Lane Recreation Area, which includes trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing as well.

Gurney Lane Mountain Biking Park & Trail System

The trail network at Gurney Lane is over 150 acres large and features a mixture of hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails. In particular, the rec area provides over 13 miles of single- and double-track trails for mountain biking.

These trails have been built and maintained by the Wilderness Property Management and offer a variety of terrain from technical rocky trails with hard lines and easier alternative lines, to wider bench cut trails with berms, rollers, and endless amounts of flow. Trails are rated as easy, intermediate, or difficult.

Rush Pond Trail Connection

The Rush Pond Trail is 2.6 miles long and runs through the Rush Pond wetland area. This stoned double-track trail connects Gurney Lane Recreation Area to the north and the Queensbury School/Aviation Road (and adjacent watershed properties) developments to the south. Along the way you'll find a mix of unmarked, single-track trails.

Open Year-Round

About 3 miles of trails are open in winter for cross-country skiing, while the nature trails are recommended for hiking and snowshoeing. This is also a great place for fat-tire biking!

Enjoy the Whole Park

The Gurney Lane trail system is part of the Gurney Lane Recreation Area, with a seasonal pool, playground, and more to enjoy.
