The Gurney Lane Recreation Area in Queensbury offers a wide range of seasonal fun, including swimming in a pool, mountain biking on a trail network, and snowshoeing on nature trails.

Gurney Lane Pool

Cool off at Gurney Lane's 6,200 sq. ft outdoor pool with 1-meter diving well and slide! There is a 1,300 sq. ft shallow area that is perfect for younger children too.

A bath house is available with restrooms, showers, and a locker area with storage. A concession area is also on-site offering snacks, ice cream, and cold drinks.

The pool is typically open during the summer months. Children under 5 and seniors 60+ do not have to pay the small daily admission fee.

Gurney Lane Park

In addition to the pool, families and visitors can enjoy picnicking at Gurney Lane's park. The park area includes the following:

  • Picnic Pavilion With Tables And Grills (Available For Rent)
  • Playground
  • Basketball Court (Half Court)
  • Recreation Area
  • Youth Pond Fishing (16 & Under Only)

Recreational Trail Network

The trail network at Gurney Lane is over 150+ acres large and features a mixture of hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails.

In particular, the rec area provides over 13 miles of single- and double-track trails for mountain biking. About 3 miles of trails are open in winter for cross-country skiing.

The nature trails are recommended for hiking and snowshoeing. Ice skating and sledding are also featured at Gurney Lane in winter.

The Gurney Lane Recreation Area is open seasonally during daylight hours.
