About this event
We’ll explore mark making with found objects, experiment on transparent paper and vintage printed book pages, and create simple hand-drawn botanicals to add to our work. Along the way, we’ll play with texture, pattern, layering, and composition, letting the page come together without worrying about making it “perfect.”
No art experience is needed. Art journaling is about experimenting, exploring, and seeing what happens when you give yourself permission to play.
There is no requirement to be "artistic."
Art Journaling is about experimenting, learning new techniques, and discovering what happens when you give yourself permission to play. Kristi will guide you through the process, but there is no single finished project everyone is expected to recreate.
Your journal should look like you, not everyone else's.
Come learn something new, make a glorious little mess, and add another technique to your creative toolbox.
Beginners are absolutely welcome.
What to bring:
Please bring your own art journal (new or already in progress). Journals with watercolor or mixed media pages are strongly recommended so they can handle paint and collage elements. Journal size does not matter.
All other materials will be provided.
Event times and information subject to change and not guaranteed.
