Join us for an evening featuring internationally renowned concert organist Nathan Laube, Professor of Organ at the Eastman School of Music. Nathan will showcase the full dynamic range, colors, and power of the church's two large pipe organs, which together comprise one of the country's 100 largest instruments. From delicate passages to powerful climaxes, the program reveals his remarkable versatility through organ masterworks and virtuosic showpieces by Bach, Franck, Liszt, Elgar, Dupré, Gounod, Vierne, and others.
Nathan has wanted to play here for years, and we couldn't be more excited to finally welcome him. He's won several major music competitions and has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and cathedrals. He studied at the renowned Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, with additional years of study in Germany and France.
Nathan's technical virtuosity, gracious demeanor, charming spirit, and engaging programming will ensure a marvelous evening of music, putting the organs through their paces. This concert also marks a big milestone for us: our 35th consecutive year of hosting organ and other concerts for our community.
The concert runs about 90 minutes, with a reception to follow. Suggested donation is $15, and all are welcome.
