About this event

Celebrate art, nature, and community at The Hyde Collection's Community Day, featuring free Museum admission, engaging activities, live music, artist presentations, and opportunities to connect with local organizations. Guests of all ages are invited to explore the museum's summer exhibitions, create their own artwork, enjoy outdoor activities, and spend the day on the museum grounds.

Throughout the day, visitors can meet representatives from community organizations including Ascend Mental Wellness, Warren Washington CARE Center, Silent Wings Raptor Rescue, Southern Adirondack Audubon Society, DIMOS Intuitive Arts, Crandall Public Library, Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra, Café Lena, and more.

A featured highlight of the event is the artist talk, "Bird and Nature Images from the Adirondacks and Beyond," presented by photographer Warren Greene. During this engaging presentation, Greene will share wildlife and landscape photographs captured from the Adirondacks to the New Jersey shoreline, along with stories of his close encounters with nature and insights into photographing birds and other wildlife.

Greene, a native of Gloversville, has been passionate about nature photography since 1976. His work has been published in books, magazines, and calendars, and he has received recognition from the Cape May Bird Observatory for his photography.

Community Day is free to attend and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy art, music, nature, and creativity while connecting with local organizations and community partners.
