Instead of plastic eggs, children find colorful, foil-wrapped apples in the orchard. Free candy treat to all the children participating.
Rain date will be the following Sunday at 1pm (to accommodate church services). Must bring your own basket!
The event is free again thsi year, but ensure it's as fabulous and memorable as possible Hicks is asking for a $5 donation per family; there are also sponsorship level tickets available. Your contributions ensure this continues to be a yearly tradition.
New this year: Bunny Brunch! This new ticket level will give your child access to the apple hunt along with the VIB (Very Important Bunny) experience. This includes a special meet-and-greet in the VIB Lounge, special food with Mr. Bunny, storytime, a goodie bag, and egg-cellent photo opportunities.
Last year 300 kids attended and it was a blast!
Hicks is wrapping kid-sized apples with pastel-colored foil and hiding them in the orchard. This is an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic eggs. And, apples are good for you! The hunts will have staggered "go" times based on children's ages, with the youngest going first.
After the hunt, kids and adults are welcome to visit the barn store for hot doughnuts, cider, and more. Kids may choose a complimentary treat from a selection of homemade fudge and candy. There will be complimentary hot cider for everyone.
