Feeder Canal Canoe/Kayak Race & Recreational Paddle
The Feeder Canal Alliance holds an annual Canoe and Kayak Race on the first Saturday in June.
Participants will paddle 5 miles along the historic Feeder Canal in Queensbury to the Martindale Boat Basin in Hudson Falls. You can enter as a solo paddler or two paddlers; for more than two paddlers, please contact the Canal Alliance office; there are several race categories.
This is a great family fun day and features a paddler's raffle and Award Ceremony following the race. The race and paddle will take place rain or shine! Please register online.
The Feeder Canal Alliance, a not-for-profit organization, was created to preserve, promote and maintain the historic Feeder Canal, the last remaining original canal in New York State. Enjoy walking, running and bicycling along the tow path; canoe and kayak the seven-mile Feeder Canal as it flows from the Feeder Dam in Queensbury through Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, and Kingsbury. The canal and towpath today provide recreational opportunities as well as providing a glimpse into the past. The Glens Falls Feeder Canal is a designated Path Through History attraction.
