This free, interactive workshop is ideal for new tractor operators, long-time tractor owners looking for a refresher, and folks considering buying a tractor. For 18y+
This program will be offered twice this fall.
Session #1: Saturday, September 26 from 9 am to 12 pm
Session #2: Saturday, October 24 from 9 am to 12 pm
What You'll Learn:
1. Basic understanding of tractor components - engine, transmission, clutch, PTO and hydraulic system
2. Performing routing fluid checks - engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, fuel
3. Tractor safety practices - PTO, tractor rollover prevention, how to disconnect the battery, personal protective equipment, types of pins and when to use them
4. How to attach, detach & correctly operate a PTO powered implement
5. Hands on time greasing the tractor
Instruction will be led by local consultant, SG Groat.
This workshop will be held rain or shine. Activities will take place outdoors, with covered space available in the event of rain.
Registration is free but limited to 12 participants per session.
