In June, we'll be painting bright, juicy watermelon slices while learning the fundamentals of watercolor in a relaxed, welcoming environment. You'll explore basic techniques like washes, layering, blending, color mixing, and adding simple details that bring your painting to life.
No experience is necessary. Whether you've never touched a watercolor brush or it's been years since you've painted, this class is designed to help you build confidence while having fun.
Each month, Watercolor 101 focuses on a different subject and introduces a new tool or supply. June's featured tool is a set of 10 gouache paint tubes, giving participants an opportunity to explore how gouache can be combined with watercolor for vibrant highlights and finishing details.
